I've owned at least a dozen bike computers and this is easily the most functional by far. My favorite thing about it is the easy-to-use, plain English menu system... it's very well thought out and there's never question about what it is you're viewing or changing. Likewise the layout/function assignments of the command buttons make sense and, unlike the Cateye I just sent back, are physically big enough to be useful and have enough "spring" to them that you know you pressed one. The screen is just large enough to be useful without being bulky, and all the info I really care about is right there, displayed on one screen. I didn't purchase the cadence option but suspect it would make a nice addition.

I bought VDO X3DW for my new Jamis road bike 3 months ago also the cadence too. Very easy to use and I like the function step by step easy to understand and this unit also can be used for bike number 2 too so I bought another mounting sensor for my mountain bike and set sw to number 2 now I can move my VDO to bike 1 or 2 it will automatic pick up bike 1 or 2 very impressive and this unit engineered by Germany did you know that ? So far it works very well and looks good with my 2 bikes.
